The cosiest, comfiest house in an idyllic spot
We couldn’t have enjoyed ourselves more. The owners have made the house so comfortable with everything you could possibly think of already there, and with such brilliant local attractions it really is the perfect spot. We all had the most wonderful time.
Such a well designed cottage
Amazing place, such a well designed cottage and the views from the terrace are just breathtaking! Really conveniently located a few steps from the quay for the ferry to Fowey. Would highly recommend, we’ll be back!
The views are spectacular
We had a fantastic week in Polruan staying at Boatman's Steps. The house has everything you need, is very comfortable and the views across to Fowey are spectacular. The terrace also gets the sun all day. Would highly recommend this house and we look forward to going back again soon.
Doesn't get any better!
Look no further. It doesn't get any better than this! Gorgeous house with spectaculair view from most rooms and from the roof terrace. Incredibly comfortable and clean and especially the beds are amazing. Bakery, pub, teahouse, small supermarket and ferry to Fowey around the corner. We could recommend Boatman's Steps to all, but not really suitable for people with walking difficulties. Many stairs in the house and steep hill in the village. You could easily spend a whole summer here. We would like to thank the host, Olly, he was most welcoming!
Everything was perfect
The most beautiful house in the most picturesque harbour. Everything was perfect from initial contact to booking, arriving and (sadly) leaving. Olly was most accommodating of our last minute requests and very responsive. We will definitely be back and highly recommend!
A wonderful stay
The house is very comfortable, with a fantastic view and all the amenities you could need. We had a wonderful stay over the Easter break and were incredibly lucky with the weather. Polruan itself is quite small and very hilly, but it's a great base for visiting other larger areas and we found we easily filled a week. We have two young children - 6 & 8 - and they very much enjoyed visiting the Eden project, Heligan Gardens and Porfell wildlife park, on top of numerous breaches and little towns to walk around.
Amazing location, with fabulous views
Amazing location, with fabulous views. Deck area managed to get the morning and evening sun! Very well equipped- had thought of everything! Very comfortable beds too.
